The Prophets are the leaders of the creation

The Prophets are the leaders of the creation

Weekly lecture of Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi

Allah Most High sent Prophets to convey His message to the creation.  The creation drew benefit from them and was guided on the path of truth.  About 124,000 Prophets have been sent to this world.  Prophethood started with Hadhrat Adam (May peace be upon him) and the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) came last as the Seal of Prophets.  Even though He was the last Prophet to grace the world, but He was the first to be created.  Allah Most High granted Him not only the leadership of all peoples but also made Him His beloved.

The station of Prophethood is not gained by efforts or endeavors.  It is a selection by Allah Most High Himself.  In His infinite wisdom, Allah Most High selects whom He will and distinguishes them over others.  He makes them the leaders of all creation.

These are the words of Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi, Professor, Islamic Law, Jamia Nizamia, Founder-Director, Abul Hasanaat Islamic Research Center, in the weekly lecture conducted under the aegis of AHIRC in Masjid Abul Hasanaat.

The revered Mufti said that when the deniers refused to believe until they were given that which was given to the Prophets, Allah Most High rebuffed their demand and said:  Allah knows best who is suited for Prophethood.  Allah Most High is perfect in His Being and Attributes and His selection is also perfect.

The Prophets are those accomplished beings who are distinguished and peerless in all aspects– in terms of lineage, manners, knowledge and physical features.  Allah Most High keeps them free of all apparent flaws as well as from appalling diseases.  Their hearts are so pure that they are treasure-houses of divine secrets and divine radiance descends on their hearts.

The revered Mufti said that every human being needs 4 things to survive – food, clothes, shelter and marriage for procreation of species.  If wrong means are used to gain any of these 4 things then corruption and depravity will spread in the land.

Human beings cannot always decide what is right and what is wrong for themselves.  Out of ignorance, they may see what is useful as what is harmful and vice versa.  Thus, human beings need someone to guide them and to separate right from what is wrong.  Such a guide will be trusted with the Lord’s guidance and will guide people to lead their lives as per the wishes of Allah Most High.  The Prophets are those blessed personalities who are the leaders of the creation.  They are beacons of guidance in every walk of life.

The revered Mufti threw light on various aspects of Prophethood.  He said that whenever objections were raised against the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), Allah Most High Himself answered to those objections and showed the status of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).

After the lecture there was a session of with Dhikr and Sulook.  The whole session ended with the Dua of the revered Mufti.
