Scholars and intellectuals address Two-Day All India Imams and Khateeb Workshop

 

Maulana Mufti Khaleel Ahmed, Shaykh Ul Jamia, Jamia Nizamia, speaking at the workshop organized by Abul Hasanaat Islamic Research Center said that the personality of the Imams has a great effect on the community.  It is the responsibility of the Imams to guide the community with their personality, their knowledge and their wisdom.  Only leading the community in Salaat is not the task of the Imam.  It is also their responsibility to guide the community and nation as per the demands of the times.

 

Maulana Khaja Shareef, Shaykh Ul Hadith, Jamia Nizamia, said that in these perilous times it is the responsibility of the scholars to answer to the challenges of the modern world and at the same time to engage in reformation and betterment of the beliefs and deeds of the populace.

 

Maulana Mufti Syed Abdur Rasheed Qadri, Sadar Mudarris, Dar Ul Uloom Deeniya, Bargahe Bandanawaz, Gulbarga, said that Hadhrat Shaykh Ul Islam Imam Muhammad Anwaarullah Farooqui (May Allah shower His Mercy on him) is that reformer of the community and nation whose intellectual, social, literary and reformatory efforts can never be forgotten or ignored.  He is a great force of Islamic knowledge in Deccan.

 

Hadhrat Maulana Syed Shah Azeezullah Qadri, Shaykh Ul Aqaaid, Jamia Nizamia, said today every misguided sect claims that they are the correct ones.  The reason behind their misguidance is that they use their own (limited) knowledge and intellect to deduce such meanings from the Holy Quran that they end up denying other verses of the Holy Quran.  The path of safety is to understand the Holy Quran through other verses of the Holy Quran and the Hadith of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).

 

Maulana Mufti Hafidh Syed Sadiq Mohiuddin Faheem, founder and director, Dar Ul Ifta Wal Qaza Lil Hind said that Islam is a universal religion which has all necessary principles and rules to lead one’s life.  He described the Islamic viewpoint of come current issues like donation of organs, network marketing, machine slaughter, etc..

 

Maulana Dr. Badiuddin Sabri, HoD Arabic, Osmania University, said that following the Shariah under the guidance of an expert is Taqleed.  The Imams of the Ummah don’t make the Shariah, they expound.  In spite of their own capabilities, the Companions would follow those Companions who were deemed knowledgeable enough to issue edicts.

 

Maulana Mufti Syed Raoof Ali Qadri, Sadar Mudarris, Dar Ul Uloom, Arabiya, Kavarampet, said that in the Madarsa, the syllabus is such that it encompasses all differences.  He said that when making syllabus for different learning groups like kids, adults, women, etc., their particular needs should be kept in mind.  Along with education, the students should also be trained.  The students should be made aware of their duties and responsibilities.

 

Maulana Mufti Syed Ziauddin Naqshbandi, Professor, Islamic Law, Jamia Nizamia, Founder-Director, Abul Hasanaat Islamic Research Center, said that orientalists attack the laws of Islam and the life of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) in new, more devious ways and sow seeds of objection in the minds of the new generation of Muslims.  In such a situation it is truly a responsibility of the scholars to answer to them and to present the beauty of Islam and the flawless character of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) to the world.

 

Maulana Hafidh Meer Latafat Ali, Shaykh Ut Tafseer, Jamia Nizamia, said that reformation and instruction of women is highly necessary, as when a woman becomes pious the children who grow under her watchful eye are guided properly.  Women can participate in activities of Da’wah as per the rules of the Shariah.

 

Maulana Syed Abdul Raoof, Mufti Dar Ul Uloom Deeniya, Bargahe Bandanawaz, Gulbarga, said that today’s era is the era of media.  The preachers of Islam should use electronic and print media to propagate the teachings of Islam.

 

Maulana Hafidh Syed Sagheer Ahmed Naqshbandi, Naib Shaykh Ul Hadith, Jamia Nizamia, described the complete method of Salaat in light of Hadith.

 

Maulana Muhamamd Ayyub Ashrafi, founder, Jamia Ashrafiya Husamiya, Pune, said that the Imams should maintain cordial relations with the caretakers of their mosques and the public.  They should exercise foresight and wisdom in this. 

 

Maulana Shah Muhammad Faseehuddin Nizami said that the Imams are fulfilling the responsibility of being the deputies of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).  It is the mark of an accomplished speaker that he guides the public in light of the Holy Quran and the Hadith.

 

Maulana Hamid Hussain Hassaan Farooqui, Nigraan, Sunni Dawate Islami, said that the Imams have always been a reliable and effective guide.  The Imams should organize circles and classes in their mosques.

 

Maulana Syed Sadiq Anwaari, Arabic teacher, Noor Un Nabi Arabic School, Bijapur, said that the post of an Imam is a great one.  They should develop Islamic awareness in the public and should teach them the necessary rules of Islam as well.

 

In the 2-day workshop, apart from the city and surrounding areas, participants came from Bengaluru, Pune, Aurangabad, Nizamabad, Kareemnagar, Adilabad, Ramagundam, Warangal, Mancheriyal, Sirsilla, Peddapally, Zaheerabad, Bidar, Gulbarga, Raichur, Yadgiri, Belhari, Siriguppa, Hospet, Naldurug, Sholapur, Guntakal, Vijaywada, Cuddapah, Mahboobnagar, Narainpet, Jadcherla, Vanparti, Kollampally, Kurnool, Yemmiganur, Aduni and other places.
