f:1177 - Mueddhin giving Adhaan in one mosque and offering Salaat in another.

Question: If a Mueddhin, due to some personal engagements, offers Salaat in another mosque where the Salaat is held earlier and after later simply gives the Adhaan in his own mosque and leaves, is it valid?

Answer:
Adhaan is only for Obligatory (Fardh) Salaat. It is not permissible for Supererogatory (Nafl) Salaat. A Mueddhin gives the Adhaan and encourages people to offer Salaat congregationally.
If a Mueddhin offers his Obligatory Salaat in some other mosque and after that gives the Adhaan in the mosque in which he is appointed and goes away without offering Salaat, then this is not permissible as per the Shariah.
The issue of the same Mueddhin offering Salaat in 2 mosques has been described in Radd Ul Muhtaar:
Translation: If a Mueddhin has offered Salaat earlier in some other mosque, then the Adhaan in the second mosque will be Supererogatory and a Supererogatory Adhaan is not permissible as per the Shariah. Adhaan is for Obligatory Salaat whereas the Mueddhin is offering Supererogatory Salaat in the second mosque. It is not at all reasonable for him to call people to a Obligatory Salaat while he himself doesn’t offer Obligatory Salaat, as the same Salaat cannot be offered as Obligatory Salaat twice, the second time it is Supererogatory. Radd Ul Muhtaar, Vol. 1, Pg. No. 592.
The aforementioned shows that even if there is an intention of offering Salaat in another mosque, then giving Adhaan is not correct. Then how can it be correct for a person who wants to walk away without offering Obligatory Salaat, even though he has offered the Obligatory Salaat in some other mosque.
There are many harms of it:
1. The Adhaan in another mosque will become Supererogatory (Nafl) while Supererogatory Adhaan isn’t valid.
2. The Adhaan will be for a Supererogatory Salaat, while there cannot be any Adhaan for Supererogatory Salaat.
3. The person who is calling others for Obligatory Salaat is himself not offering it.
