f:129 -    Using loudspeaker is akin to ascribing partners to Allah Most High
Country : India,
Name : Ali Khan

Question:
Can we listen to Holy Quran and Na?at using a loud speaker?  My friend says it is ?Shirk.?  He says that our using loudspeakers on the occasion of Khatm Quran etc is all ?Shirk.?

.....................................................................................................................................
Answer:
The voice of the loudspeaker should be only as necessary.  Your friend’s saying that all this “Shirk” is only ascribing a lie to Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala).

Please remember that “Shirk” i.e. associating something with Allah Most High or considering someone or something as a partner to Allah Most High is with the “Dhaat” (The Being) of Allah Most High or in His attributes and to consider that entity as worthy of worship.  Simply saying “Shirk” for anything or everything is interference in the laws of Islam.  Remember what Allah Most High said in Surah An’aam:

Who doth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie against Allah or denieth His revelations? Lo! the wrongdoers will not be successful. Surah An’aam (6:21)

And Allah Most High knows best.
