font-family: Arial;">Allah Ta&rsquo;ala selected Rajab for the heavenly journey of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), as Rajab is the month of Allah Ta&rsquo;ala.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) says:<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">Translation of Hadith: Rajab is the month of Allah Ta&rsquo;ala.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>(Kanz Ul Ummal)<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">Why Monday?</span></b><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">Allah Ta&rsquo;ala has distinguished Monday with many things.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">1.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was born on this day.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">2.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) declared His Nubuwwah (Prophethood) on this day.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">3.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>The command for Hijrah (migration) came on this day.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">4.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>His passing away into the presence of Allah Ta&rsquo;ala, which is in fact, a great day for the Ummah, is also on Monday.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">Thus, Allah Ta&rsquo;ala selected Monday for this heavenly journey.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">Why did the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) go to Baitul Muqaddis first?</span></b><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">First reason:<span style="">&nbsp; </span>To make a case against those who would deny this journey, as the heavens are not seen by the disbelievers, but Bait Ul Muqaddis is seen and when they would ask the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) about it, He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) would give them their answers.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">Second reason: Mahshar (the final judgment) would happen in Syria and the reason why Allah Ta&rsquo;ala took the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) to Baitul Muqaddis is that His blessed feet touch that area and the Ummah has some comfort from that.<span style="">&nbsp; No. 18)<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">This reason: This reason was given by Muhaddith-e-Deccan Abul Hasanaat Hadhrat Syed Abdullah Shah Naqshbandi Mujaddidi Qadri (May Allah shower His mercy on him), that all the time, Bait Ul Muqaddis would pray to Allah Ta&rsquo;ala that O Allah! I have been privileged by all your Prophets.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Now there is no wish left in my heart except one that I have the honor of seeing Your Beloved, Hadhrat Muhammad Mustafa (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), the fire of yearning for him is blazing too much.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Allah Ta&rsquo;ala took Him to Bait Ul Muqaddis for this reason.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">Why did Meraj start from the house of Hadhrat Umme Haani?</span></b><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">This heavenly journey started not from the blessed house of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), but from the house of Hadhrat Umme Haani (May Allah be well pleased with him).<span style="">&nbsp; </span>This is because Jibrail entered the house from the roof without asking for the permission of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).<span style="">&nbsp; </span>The respect and manners of the house of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) are that entering it without the permission of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) is forbidden, as the Holy Quran says in Surah Ahzaab-153.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Even angels cannot enter the blessed house of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) without His permission.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><span style="">&nbsp; </span>The angels are also included in the Ummah of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), as given in Sahih Muslim, Hadith No. 523, Vol. 1, Pg. No. 199.<span style="">&nbsp; </span><o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">Why did Jibrail (peace be upon him) enter the house of Hadhrat Umme Haani from the roof?</span></b><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">Jibrail would always enter the presence of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) after taking proper permission [Read Jibrail, in the presence of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)].<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">Entering from the roof is extraordinary.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>This is a sign that the to-be-undertaken journey is also most extraordinary.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Then entering from above is to indicate that the Journey will also be upwards i.e. the heavens and beyond.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was resting.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>If Jibrail had asked permission then it would have been that the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) would have had to reply to him and break his rest.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Allah Ta&rsquo;ala did not want to disturb the rest of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam)<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">Why did Meraj start when the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was sleeping?</span></b><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">A person is closest to Allah Ta&rsquo;ala when in a state of worship.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>Allah Ta&rsquo;ala sent the message for the heavenly journey of Meraj not in any particular state of worship, but when He (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) was sleeping.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>This shows that Allah Ta&rsquo;ala likes even the sleep of His Beloved so much that He rains His bounties on Him.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>When the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) gets the message for Meraj in His sleep, then can anyone imagine the state of His worship?<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><b><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">Why did the Burraq had to be brought in?<o:p></o:p></span></b></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">It could have been that distance was rolled up for the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).<span style="">&nbsp; </span>The first step of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) could have been in Masjid Haraam and the next in Bait Ul Muqaddis.<span style="">&nbsp; </span>This was not done because rolling up the distance, space, is there in the Auliya (saints) of the Ummah also, but this kind of mount that would cover distances in the twinkling of the eye is the distinguishing mark of the Prophets.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;">The Burraq was not out of necessity, but to show the grandeur of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam), as when a great person is invited, a vehicle, etc. is sent to receive them, as a sign of respect for them.<o:p></o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p> <p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p>&nbsp;</o:p></span></p>
