THE BENEFITS OF ADAB BY HADHRAT MUHADDITH-E-DECCAN

THE BENEFITS OF ADAB BY HADHRAT MUHADDITH-E-DECCAN

ADAB

Hadhrat Shaykh Shamsuddin (May Allah shower His Mercy on him), who was an erudite scholar and a pious saint, was once journeying on a horse. On the way, he saw an old blind person being led by a girl. He got down from his horse, kissed his hand and went on foot with him for a long distance.

When people asked him about this, he said: I had studied the Holy Quran under him as a child, so out of adab, I got down from the horse and walked along with him till his destination.

As far as we see, adab is becoming nonexistent in this world. Neither do the young make it a point to respect elders, nor do elders shower affection; all this when it is necessary for the young to respect the elders and for elders to be affectionate to the young. Ignoring this is not only bad, but cannot be worthy of humanity either.

We ask for guidance towards adab one without adab is devoid of the benevolence of Allah SWT.

The one without adab does not burn himself alone but sets fire to the whole world.

There is no chance for the one without adab in this path his place is the gallows and not the house Respecting and serving the Auliya and the elders paves the way to gain the pleasure of Allah SWT.

Whenever you go to any elder or any of the Auliya-Allah SWT, then behave with utmost respect. Good deeds do not affect so fast as the bad deeds, as Satan helps the wicked in spreading wickedness. Disrespect leads to disputes and clashes. The salik should strictly avoid it.

Hadhrat Abul Qasim (May Allah shower His Mercy on him) states that the one who is lax and careless in respecting and serving the Auliya is kept away from following the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). The one who is lax in following the Sunnah is kept away from the Fardh (obligatory acts) and the one who is lax in performing the Fardh is kept away from the eternal rewards.

THE ADAB OF THE MASJID.

Those who accept Tauhid have the right to establish a masjid. The grandeur and respect for Allah SWT which they have in their hearts makes them respect a masjid. They have complete certainty in the establishment of the Masjid which develops in them the fear of Allah SWT and hope which makes erect a masjid. It has been mentioned in Hadith:

Translation: Allah SWT says that the masjid are My house and those who come to them come to meet Me. Glad tidings to those who leave their houses with wuzu and come to My house i.e. the masjid and get the privilege of meeting Me. It is their right on the people of the world that they should respect them. The masjid are Jannah, so do not hurt anyone in the masjid nor do something which hurts the people in the masjid for example do not recite the Holy Quran or other wazaaif in a loud voice that it interferes with the prayers and worship of the other worshippers; do not stand in such a place that those who come and go face some difficulty.

Once Hadhrat Bayazeed Bustami (May Allah shower His Mercy on him) reached the ‘Arsh. The angels bearing the ‘Arsh asked him: Why did you come here? He answered: In search of Allah SWT. The angels said: nowadays we hear that Allah SWT resides in the heart of Bayazeed Bustami (May Allah shower His Mercy on him) and you have come here to search for Him. So surprising!
