Good manners in Islam

Allah Most High has made the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) peerless in both appearance and character.&nbsp; He has seated the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) on the highest echelon of manners and etiquette.&nbsp; His physical appearance and His high character are not mentioned only in the Holy Quran, but also in other divine books.&nbsp; All the other excellences that were granted to other Prophets, all of them were combined in the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam).&nbsp; The Holy Quran says about the high standard of His manners and etiquette:<br /> <br /> &nbsp;<br /> <br /> And assuredly you are placed high on the Most Glorious and Exalted (seat of) Character (i.e. adorned with the Qur&rsquo;anic morality and endowed with the character traits of Allah).&nbsp; Surah Qalam (68:4)<br /> <br /> &nbsp;<br /> <br /> Islam did not spread through swords and arrows, but spread because of good manners and pure character.<br /> <br /> &nbsp;<br /> <br /> The loftiness of manners is that we establish relations with those with whom our relations are splintered.&nbsp; We should treat those nicely who break relations with us.&nbsp; We fulfill the rights of those who snatch away our rights.&nbsp; We should forgive those who oppress and wrong us.<br /> <br /> &nbsp;<br /> <br /> The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:&nbsp; On the Day of Judgment, the one who has the best manners will be closest to me.&nbsp; <br /> <br /> &nbsp;<br /> <br /> The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said:&nbsp; I have been sent to complete good manners.<br /> <br /> &nbsp;<br /> <br /> Hadhrat Anas bin Malik (May Allah be well pleased with him) says about the manners and etiquette of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam):&nbsp; I had the honor of serving the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) for 10 years.&nbsp; He never even said:&nbsp; &quot;Uff&quot; to me and never said in any matter that why did you do this.<br /> <br /> &nbsp;<br /> <br /> There is a Hadith in Sahih Bukhari:<br /> <br /> &nbsp;<br /> <br /> Ummul Momineen Hadhrat Khadija (May Allah be well pleased with her) says about the manners of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam):&nbsp; Allah Ta'ala will keep your status high and will not stop His help.&nbsp; You treat the relatives nicely, lift the load of the weak, earn for the needy, host guests and help people in times of need.&nbsp; (Sahih Bukhari, Hadith No. 03)<br /> <br /> &nbsp;<br /> <br /> Bad manners are the greatest defect in a human being.&nbsp; A well-mannered person, even though he be dark and ugly, is beloved.
