THE HOLY PROPHET (SALLALLAHU ALAIHI WA SALLAM) AT THE DOOR OF HEAVEN

After leading all the Prophets in Salaat, 2 vessels were placed in front of the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam). One had milk and the other had wine. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) disliked wine and took the vessel of milk and drank from it.

Hadhrat Jibrail (Peace be upon him) said: O Prophet of Allah SWT! Because of Your dislike of wine, wine will be prohibited for Your Ummah. You have selected milk i.e. you have selected guidance ( Hidayah ) and piety and you have saved your Ummah from misguidance. After this the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) exited the Bait Ul Muqaddis.

A ladder was fixed on the door of the Bait Ul Muqaddis for the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) to climb it and reach the heavens.

The ladder was such that one rung (step) of it was of gold and the other of silver (alternatively). All of them were decorated with precious stones. This ladder was extremely beautiful. The children of Hadhrat Adam (Peace be upon him) climb on it after death. You might have noticed that some people while dying stare at the sky. They see the other end of this ladder joined with the sky. After death, through this ladder only, their souls ( Ruh ) will be taken to the heavens. Regardless of whether the person is a Muslim or not. When the Ruh reaches the door of the sky, the door of the sky is opened for the Muslim, for the non-Muslim, it is not opened. The Ruh of the non-Muslim is returned from the door of the sky. At that time, the non-Muslim will be greatly disappointed. The Ruh of the Muslim will be taken to the highest stations (A'ala 'Illiyyen ) and the Ruh of the non-Muslim will be taken to the lowest levels ( Sijjiyyen )

When the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) started climbing the stairs, from the earth to the heavens angels stood in rows. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: All those angels were respectfully greeting Me with Salaam. At the lower part of the ladder, the incharge of the angels, a strong, hefty angel, was standing. He greeted Me with Salaam and expressed his happiness. He said: O Prophet of Allah SWT! Since 25,000 years before the creation of Prophet Adam (Peace be upon him), I was made to stand here. From that day, Your love is present in my heart. Every moment of mine is spent in Durud and Salaam. I have been waiting for You to come here. Thanks be to Allah SWT! I am privileged by meeting You today.

When the groom comes, what kind of preparations are made! Each and every thing is set in order. Each person is given the responsibility of a task. Each person's heart is full of happiness. It was the same case here.

Various kinds of preparations were going on in the heavens. Each Prophet was seated on His station. Each angel was bursting with happiness.

Jibrail (Peace be upon him) took the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) on the ladder to the door of the first heaven. The name of that door is the doorkeeper of that door is an angel named Ismail. He is in charge of 70,000 angels. Each one of those angels is in charge of 70,000 angels. This angel was eager to meet the Holy Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) since His Milad.
