f:665 -    Will ablution be invalidated due to internal bleeding of eye
Country : India,
Name : Hameeduddin Ahmed
Question:     I work in a Masjid in Adilabad.  Your questions are very helpful in replying to people.  my question is that if the eye is injured and blood flows into the eye, but does not come out of the eye, then what would be the ruling?
Answer:     Ablution is invalidated when blood comes out and flows over.  Here the condition is that the blood should flow onto such a place washing which is compulsory in ablution and bath.

If the eye bleeds and the blood flows over from its place, but remains in the eye itself, then as per the rules of ablution and bathing the eye is considered to be one of the internal organs of the body, and washing the internal organs is not compulsory.

Here the situation is similar to the situation wherein due to an injury, blood collects under the skin but does not come out.

Thus, even if blood flows inside of the eye from one end to the other, the ablution will not be invalidated.  However, if the blood flows out of the eye, ablution will be invalidated.

As given in Durre Mukhtaar, Kitab Us Salaat and Radd Ul Muhtaar, Kitab Us Salaat.

And Allah Most High knows best.
